Cell-able system maintains liver functions for 8 weeks in vitro
Basal and induction activity of CYP3A enzymes as well as albumin secretion activity were maintained for 8 weeks by hepatocyte spheroids on Cell-able system. In addition, hepatocyte spheroids showed influx and efflux transporter activities. Cell-able is a powerful platform system for liver toxicology and/or metabolism studies.

Cell-able enables detection of drug-induced liver injury in vitro
Hepatocyte spheroids on Cell-able system were exposed to 18 kinds of compounds in low concentrations. In the study of 3 weeks exposure of compounds, hepatic toxicity was detected. In addition, metabolites that are hardly detected with conventional culture systems were detected with Cell-able system.
